The Royal Mint has launched a collection of five-pound coins honoring legendary musician Paul McCartney, inspired by psychedelic motifs from his ‘magical piano’ used during a recent concert in Paris. At 82, McCartney is currently on the European leg of his ‘Got Back’ tour, delighting thousands of fans. The coins, which feature iconic elements of his career, were designed with McCartney’s involvement. Several limited-edition versions will be available, including a 5 kg gold coin set for auction in early 2025.
