Thessaloniki Metro Set to Launch with 13 Stations by November 30
The Thessaloniki Metro is preparing to launch its operations with 13 stations on November 30. An information kiosk has been established at Aristotelous Square to inform citizens and visitors about the metro’s significance and features. Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Christos Staikouras, confirmed that the project is on track for a safe and timely launch, highlighting its integration with local archaeological sites. Culture Minister Lina Mendoni described the metro as a model project for the city.
