The municipality of Thessaloniki has announced the commencement of the International ‘Megalexandros’ Games, featuring participation from twenty Olympic federations and five organizations for people with disabilities. Mayor Stelios Angeloudis emphasized the importance of bringing sports back to the city during a municipal council meeting. The Deputy Mayor for Sports, Koula Giannakidou, noted that the event will attract foreign coaches, athletes, and companions, which will simultaneously boost local tourism.
