Thousands of Protesters Demand Accountability from Serbian Government in Belgrade
In Belgrade, tens of thousands rallied against the Serbian government, calling for accountability following the collapse of a train station roof in Novi Sad that killed fifteen people in early November. Ongoing demonstrations, mostly led by students, attribute the incident to governmental corruption. The protest, which featured a moment of silence and followed by noise from whistles and vuvuzelas, attracted citizens from various professions. In response to escalating protests, the government has moved school vacations forward to ensure student safety.
