Thousands Protest in Valencia Demanding Accountability After Devastating Floods

Two weeks after catastrophic floods struck Valencia, approximately 130,000 protesters gathered to voice their frustrations over slow government response and demand the resignation of Regional President Carlos Mazón. During the demonstration, clashes resulted in the arrest of three individuals and injuries to 30 police officers. Protesters expressed outrage, chanting for justice and accountability for the disaster that claimed at least 222 lives across Spain. Despite ongoing unrest, King Felipe VI plans to visit the affected areas to oversee recovery efforts as military and police continue to assist in search and rescue operations.
