Three Former Rugby Players Sentenced for Rape in Bordeaux Case
On December 13, three ex-rugby players from Grenoble received prison sentences ranging from 12 to 14 years for the gang rape of a young woman in Bordeaux in 2017. The convictions aligned with the prosecutor’s recommendations following a two-week closed trial. The main accused, Denis Coulson, Loïck Jammes, and Rory Grice, were alleged to have exploited the victim’s state of intoxication after a night of drinking post a Top 14 match. Two other individuals received lesser sentences for failing to intervene.
