Tommaso Foti Appointed New Italian Minister for European Affairs

Tommaso Foti has been appointed as the new Minister for European Affairs in Giorgia Meloni’s government, succeeding Raffaele Fitto, who has taken a role as European partner and executive vice president of the European Commission. Foti, 64, is a senior member of the Brothers of Italy party and has a background in the food industry and parliamentary experience since 2018. He will oversee European affairs, Southern Italy policies, and the implementation of the Italian Recovery and Resilience Plan.
