A coalition of trade unions, including SIPTU and the Financial Services Union, has launched its ‘Respect at Work’ campaign, urging political candidates to pledge their support for legislative changes that enhance workers’ rights in Ireland. The campaign highlights the need for better collective bargaining protections and calls on politicians to commit to improving conditions for over 400,000 low-paid workers. It comes amid criticism that the government has not fully implemented EU directives on workers’ rights.
