A 38-day-old infant was brought to the Chania hospital by a young couple, where the baby was found unresponsive. The 16-year-old mother and her 18-year-old partner discovered the baby not breathing and rushed to the Pediatric Emergency Department. Despite medical efforts, the child was pronounced dead. Authorities are investigating the incident and have ordered an autopsy to determine the cause of death. Reports indicate that the couple, both of Roma ethnicity, resides in Kissamos, and the man is not the biological father of the child.
