Bradley Nelson, who suffered severe disabilities after being shaken by his father as an infant, has died at the age of nine, sparking a renewed police investigation. After the assault in 2016, Bradley was diagnosed with cerebral palsy and epilepsy, requiring 24-hour care and multiple surgeries. He passed away in Scarborough General Hospital after a seizure. His father, Darren Spreadbury, was sentenced to prison for causing grievous bodily harm. Bradley’s mother described him as always smiling, despite his challenges, and spoke of the toll his care took on their family life.
