A tragic incident occurred off the coast of Rhodes on Friday morning, involving the illegal transport of migrants and refugees. Reports indicate several individuals were found in the water, with casualties and injuries ranging from three to eight. The boat was spotted by coast guard officials five nautical miles from Afantou beach, during an attempted disembarkation by the trafficker. As migrants fell into the sea amidst the chaos, rescue operations were underway. Injured individuals were later transported to a hospital in Rhodes.
