Ben Crook, a 32-year-old man from Abertridwr, went missing during a family holiday in Antalya, Turkey, shortly after an argument with his partner. The Gwent Coroner’s Court revealed that Crook had been drinking heavily during his journey from the UK, which culminated in him being escorted off the plane upon landing. He was last seen in Kaleiçi, the historic area of Antalya, before his disappearance was reported. An inquest has been opened into the circumstances surrounding his death.
