Tragic Plane Crash in South Korea Claims 29 Lives
A plane crash in Muan, South Korea, resulted in the deaths of at least 29 individuals shortly after landing. The aircraft, a Boeing 737-8AS from low-cost airline Jeju Air, was arriving from Bangkok with 175 passengers and six crew members aboard. Officials have indicated that the crash may have been caused by a bird strike affecting the landing system. Rescue efforts continue, with two survivors reported. The South Korean caretaker president, Choi Sang-mok, has ordered all possible measures to save those on board.
