Trial Set for Men Accused of Stealing Priceless Cello from French Cellist Ophélie Gaillard
Three men are set to stand trial on November 21, suspected of stealing a cello worth 1.3 million euros from renowned French cellist Ophélie Gaillard. The instrument was recovered by investigators following the burglary on September 24-25, when the suspects entered Gaillard’s home near Saint-Julien-en-Genevois and also stole cash and a tablet. This incident follows a previous theft of Gaillard’s cello in 2018, which was returned shortly after it was stolen.
