Three men are set to face trial in September 2025 in Paris for cyberharassment against DJ and feminist activist Barbara Butch, following her performance at the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympics. After receiving a deluge of hateful messages online, Butch filed a complaint. The accused, aged 56, 38, and 23, are said to have sent abusive messages on Instagram shortly after the event, which sparked controversy and backlash from various groups, including the far-right and religious authorities.
