Speaking at the Doha Forum in Qatar, Fidan highlighted the ongoing challenges in Syria and the necessity for international support to ensure the country’s territorial integrity, warning against terrorist groups taking advantage of the situation. He also stated he believes Assad may have left the country, noting Turkey’s lack of contact with him despite previous calls for normalization from President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
