He emphasized the importance of viewing the Mediterranean and Aegean as regions of stability while addressing Greek-Turkish relations and the Cyprus issue, advocating for a solution based on the existence of two distinct states on the island. Guler criticized the Republic of Cyprus for exploiting regional crises and accused certain allies of encouraging negative attitudes towards Turkey.
