Turkish-backed Syrian National Army Gains Control in Northern Syria

The Turkish-backed Syrian National Army (SNA) has taken control of the Manbij pocket in Syria, the last area held by Kurdish forces west of the Euphrates River. This advance follows the capture of another Kurdish stronghold, Tel Rifaat. Recent reports indicate that a Turkish drone strike killed 12 people, including women and children, in a rural area near Ain Issa. The Turkish government links Kurdish autonomous groups to terrorism and seeks to end U.S. support for them.
