In a crackdown on smuggling, Greek authorities arrested two foreign nationals, aged 26 and 24, for trafficking illegal cigarettes in Kaminia. On November 5, 2024, officers discovered the suspects emerging from a residence with 79 packs of cigarettes and 125 tobacco packages, both lacking tax stamps. Further investigation revealed an additional 14,900 illegal cigarette packs and 1,789 tobacco packages stored at the location. The arrested individuals will be presented before the Piraeus prosecutor.
