Two Men Charged in Uber Eats Fraud Scheme Involving €2.4 Million

Two men have been charged and placed under judicial control for hacking the Uber Eats food delivery platform, allegedly causing a loss of €2.4 million. They were arrested on November 19 in Saint-Nazaire and Nanterre after being accused of fraudulently processing orders at a 50% discount through a Telegram channel. Using automated bots, they created 137,000 fraudulent accounts to exploit Uber Eats’ refund system. Uber Eats filed a complaint in April 2023 regarding organized fraud linked to these activities since January 2022.
