Two 24-year-old men were arrested in Thessaloniki for attempting to rob a police officer outside a casino. They allegedly attacked the officer in an effort to steal his phone and wallet, despite his identification as law enforcement. After being apprehended by casino security and later arrested by the police, the suspects admitted to their crime, claiming it was a first-time offense spurred by alcohol consumption and prior losses in gambling. They have been placed in temporary detention.
