U.S. Defense Official Denies Claims of Drones Linked to Iranian Mothership
A spokesperson for the U.S. Department of Defense dismissed claims by Congressman Jeff Van Drew that mysterious drones spotted over New Jersey were launched from an Iranian mothership off the U.S. East Coast. The Pentagon confirmed there is no Iranian vessel in U.S. waters and the drones do not belong to the American military. An investigation is underway to determine the origins of the drones. House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries called for greater transparency regarding the matter from law enforcement.
