U.S. Senate Passes NDAA 2025, Strengthening Ties with Cyprus
The U.S. Senate has overwhelmingly approved the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for 2025, reinforcing the relationship between the Republic of Cyprus and the United States. Government Spokesman Konstantinos Letymbiotis hailed the vote, which saw 85 in favor and 14 against, indicating a crucial step in geopolitical cooperation. Notably, the NDAA grants the Cyprus National Guard the right to participate in multilateral military exercises until 2027, making Cyprus the only partner outside NATO with this privilege.
