Ueli Maurer Responds to Parliamentary Investigation on Credit Suisse Crisis

Former Swiss Finance Minister Ueli Maurer has not yet commented on the report from the Parliamentary Investigative Committee regarding the Credit Suisse crisis. Maurer, 74, intends to review the report himself before responding. The committee criticized him for providing limited information to the Federal Council and failing to adequately inform his successor, current Finance Minister Karin Keller-Sutter, about the Credit Suisse situation during the handover. In a previous interview, Maurer defended his decision not to intervene with Credit Suisse, arguing that state intervention was unrealistic.
