UK Athletics Charged with Manslaughter Following Paralympian Abdullah Hayayei’s Tragic Death

UK Athletics has been charged with corporate manslaughter in connection with the death of Paralympian Abdullah Hayayei, who died in 2017 when a metal cage fell on him during training. The Crown Prosecution Service has also charged Keith Davies, head of sport for the World Para-athletics Championships, with gross negligence manslaughter. Hayayei was preparing for the World Championships when the incident occurred. A moment of silence was held for him at a subsequent event.
