Digital devices are being sought for analysis as part of the investigation under the Terrorism Act, which criminalizes support for proscribed terrorist organizations. Hamas, which governs Gaza, has been designated a terrorist group in the UK since 2021, particularly after the attacks in Israel on October 7, 2023.
