Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has condemned Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico for allegedly opening a ‘second energy front’ against Ukraine under orders from Russia. The dispute arises as Ukraine prepares to end its natural gas transit agreement with Russia. Fico, who recently visited President Vladimir Putin in Moscow, threatened to cut electricity exports to Ukraine if gas flow is halted. Zelensky emphasized that such actions would harm Slovak interests and highlighted Ukraine’s reliance on energy imports, particularly from Slovakia.
