UN Report Highlights Healthcare Crisis in Gaza Amid Israeli Airstrikes
A recent United Nations report has revealed that Israeli airstrikes near hospitals in Gaza have nearly collapsed the region’s healthcare system. The UN’s human rights office criticized Israel’s vague claims regarding the misuse of hospitals by Palestinian groups and noted the catastrophic impact on access to medical care. Al Awda Hospital, one of the few operational facilities, is struggling with severe shortages and damage due to attacks. The hospital’s director, Mohammed Salha, emphasized that the attacks are aimed at displacing civilians, not solely targeting Hamas.
