Unilever has announced the sale of its food brands Unox and Zwan to the Zwanenberg Food Group, marking the end of nearly a century of ownership. CEO Heike Schipper described the decision as challenging, highlighting Unox’s cultural significance in the Netherlands. This move is part of Unilever’s strategy to streamline its portfolio, focusing on larger brands and the development of kitchen products. Unilever also recently sold the Conimex brand, and is in search of buyers for its ice cream brands, including Magnum and Ben & Jerry’s.
