Upcoming Beaver Moon: A Glimpse of the Next Supermoon

The Beaver Moon, scheduled to rise soon, promises to be a captivating supermoon, appearing about 14,000 miles closer to Earth than usual. While it won’t shine as brightly as October’s Hunter’s Moon, it will appear approximately 14% larger and 30% brighter. Supermoons occur when a full moon coincides with the moon’s perigee and typically happen three to four times a year. After this, the next supermoon won’t grace the skies until October 2025, making this an ideal opportunity for stargazers to enjoy a spectacular lunar display.
