The United States has informed Qatar that the presence of Hamas in Doha is no longer acceptable following the group’s recent rejections regarding hostage negotiations. A senior US official disclosed that Qatar conveyed this request to Hamas leaders about ten days ago. Qatar, along with the US and Egypt, has played a significant role in the ongoing but unfruitful talks for a ceasefire in Gaza and the release of hostages held by Hamas in the Palestinian enclave.
