Vasari Corridor Reopens to Public After €10 Million Restoration in Florence
The historic Vasari Corridor in Florence, originally built for the Medici family, will reopen to the public after an extensive €10 million restoration. The corridor, designed by Giorgio Vasari in 1565, is a 700-meter-long passageway offering stunning views of the city. Closed since 2016 for safety upgrades, it now includes modern facilities like improved access, emergency exits, and energy-efficient lighting. Italian Culture Minister Alessandro Giuli hailed the reopening as a significant cultural milestone for Florence and Italy.
