A delegation from the ‘Restart’ faction of the Municipality of Maroneia – Sapes, led by former Mayor Dino Charitopoulos and Community President Nikos Kallianidis, visited Kizaris Lake. The visit coincided with the annual tradition of cross-diving, established in 2023. The delegation reported a significant drop in water levels, prompting calls for local and regional authorities to ensure effective water management, particularly during the summer months, to promote sustainable use of the dam.
