Vodafone and Three Merger Approved, Prices Expected to Remain Stable

Vodafone’s chief executive Margherita Della Valle assures that the £16.5bn merger with Three will not lead to higher prices for customers. The merger, which creates the UK’s largest mobile network with 27 million users, has been approved with conditions including significant investment in the 5G network and price caps on certain mobile tariffs. The Competition and Markets Authority believes the merger will enhance competition in the sector, despite previous concerns about potential price increases.
