Rainy weather is expected to hit western regions of Greece from midday today, with local thunderstorms likely in the afternoon, according to meteorologist Panagiotis Giannopoulos. Rain will also reach eastern Aegean and western Crete. A significant drop in temperatures is forecasted for Saturday due to cold air masses from the north. Sunday will see strong winds at sea with sunny weather across the country, while temperatures in northern areas will drop to around 11-12 degrees Celsius.
