Weather System ‘Alexandros’ Gradually Subsides in Greece

The severe weather system ‘Alexandros’ is slowly easing across Northern Evia, the Sporades, and Magnesia, with rain diminishing and winds calming. The first snowfall of the season occurred in Florina, while road conditions improved with winter tires and snow-clearing efforts. Some areas, such as Gonnoi, experienced issues including landslides due to drainage work, and flooding was reported in Syros. The storm has now moved towards the Eastern Aegean Islands and Dodecanese, with occasional rain expected in the region. The Greek civil protection remains on alert until the weather stabilizes.
