Western diplomats have adopted a stringent resolution against Iran during the International Atomic Energy Agency’s board meeting in Vienna. Drafted by the United Kingdom, France, and Germany, the resolution was approved by 19 of the 35 member states, provoking a harsh response from Tehran, which termed it ‘politically motivated’. The document highlights Iran’s alarming nuclear activities, indicating it has amassed enough enriched uranium for four nuclear weapons. Iran’s representative criticized the decision, while calls for improved engagement with the IAEA are emphasized in the context of international safety and nuclear non-proliferation.
