Winter sales in Thessaloniki will commence on January 13 and run until February 28, 2025. The Thessaloniki Commerce Association has announced that stores can optionally open on the first two Sundays of the sales period, specifically January 19 and 26, from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM. It is stressed that retailers must clearly display prior prices on discounted items, and there are penalties for misleading discount practices, including fines of 1% of annual turnover, with higher penalties for inaccurate promotions.
