French sailor Yoann Richomme, representing Paprec Arkea, has achieved a new solo sailing record by covering 551.81 nautical miles in a single day, surpassing the previous record set by Nicolas Lunven just a week prior. The feat occurred in the Atlantic Ocean as Richomme navigated towards the challenging Pot-au-Noir. Despite his impressive performance, he acknowledged the competition and playfully expressed regret for breaking Lunven’s record, showcasing the camaraderie among the sailors.
