Two men have been arrested in Zambia for allegedly attempting to use witchcraft to harm President Hakainde Hichilema. The suspects, Jasten Mabulesse Candunde and Leonard Phiri, were reportedly hired by Nelson Banda, brother of MP Emmanuel ‘Jay Jay’ Banda, who is currently under investigation for unrelated robbery charges. The police have charged the men under the Witchcraft Act and found them in possession of various charms, including a live chameleon. They are set to appear in court soon, though no date has been specified.
