The government will cover the costs for restoration projects, while the local municipality will manage the beach and implement an entry fee for visitors. Proceeds will be directed towards maintenance and enhancement efforts. Despite being one of Greece’s most recognizable landmarks, the beach has been largely inaccessible due to safety concerns, and was closed to tourists last summer.
